Buddy

I just want to say how happy I am that I decided to put my dog, Buddy on the doggie diet with Slentrol. Since he has been on Slentrol he has lost a lot of weight and has so much more energy now. I used to have to drag him around the block for our walks, but now he runs up to the house when we are done. Buddy used to eat like a Hoover vacuum. Now there are times he doesn't even finish his food, and instead he finds his ball and wants to play. He has had very bad hips since he was a puppy and I know the weight coming off has made a big difference in his ability to get up and down in the evenings. He now has an indentation where his stomach is. Before he was just a big square!! Also, his coat is soft and shiny. I think Slentrol was just what he needed to jumpstart his weight loss and help him to be a lot healthier and ease his joint pains.

Riley

In July of 2008, while walking Riley in the park, a man stopped and told me my dog looked like a football. I laughed and thought he was referring to his little head and the fact that he didn't have a tail. Then I took notice of how much weight he had gained over the past nine months. I guess I never really took a good long look at his body since his face and his antics were always so cute.

I brought him into the Antioch Veterinary Hospital on 10th Street a few days later for his next round of vaccinations and asked if he was indeed overweight. I was told that someone had just marked on his chart to have Marie come and talk to me about his weight. At just a year old, and being a Mini Aussie, 31 pounds was just too much weight for Riley to carry around. Marie patiently educated me about how too much weight will not only make my dog miserable and suffer with painful joints and internal damage to his organs, but that it could shorten his life as well. She informed me about Slentrol and I agreed to give it a try. I have to admit I was concerned about how Riley would respond to this weight loss product.

Each night I would give Riley the dose that was prescribed by dispensing it right into his mouth with the syringe. He took it like it was a treat, excitedly wagging his bottom. (Remember, no tail!) He'd lick and just about smack his lips whenever he received his dose. He even wanted to lick the syringe! Riley never had any side effects other than not being interested in eating a rare day here or there throughout the last nine months.

Well, it is now April 2009, and Riley weighs 19 pounds. He is happy, healthy and still has the cutest antics. I'm so relieved to haven gotten a handle on his weight before it did any permanent damage. I am eternally grateful to Marie for sharing with me this weight loss product that not only was successful, but easy to dispense, readily accepted by Riley as a treat/reward, and so free of side effects.
